Pediatric Medical Experts (PME) is pleased to announce the hiring of Cynthia D. Read APN, CPNC-PC, CPNP-AC, LNP in the role of Legal Nurse Consultant. Cynthia is a highly skilled Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and brings over 27 years of pediatric nursing experience to the role.
While serving in the role as Legal Nurse Consultant and working with PME’s clients, Cynthia will continue to work in a full-time role as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) at OSF Children’s Hospital of Illinois, an academic center with a Level 1 Trauma Center where she has been involved in extensive research efforts.

Since 1994, Cynthia’s specialty focus has been in Pediatric Critical Care Nursing. Throughout her career, Cynthia has cared for a broad spectrum of patients including those with common to rare disease processes, trauma, and surgical patients. Her practice roles have consisted of NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) nurse, PICU nurse, and PICU Advanced Practice Nurse.
Cynthia D. Read earned a degree as a Nurse Practitioner in 2006 from the Illinois College of Medicine. She earned both Acute Care and Primary Care certifications as a Nurse Practitioner from the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board in 2007.
Pediatric Medical Experts, led by has been delivering expert medical opinions since 1993. Dr. Bartholomew and the team have built a trusted relationship in the pediatric field as well as with litigating attorneys, law firms, and the court.
