Cynthia D. Read is a skilled and dedicated Pediatric ICU APN. She has spent more than 25 years caring for critically ill and injured children. After much consideration, Cynthia has decided to share her considerable talents with the outpatient community by joining the Bleeding & Clotting Disorders Institute (BCDI)– the only federally funded Hemophilia Treatment Center in Illinois south of Chicago.
In this role, Cynthia provides care and treatment management for both inpatient and outpatient individuals with bleeding and/or clotting disorders.
Cynthia continues to work in the Pediatric ICU on a part-time basis and as the Legal Nurse Consultant for PME. Cynthia D. Read also serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for the Tenth Judicial Court. In this volunteer role, she is appointed by a judicial officer to provide advocacy for children under the jurisdiction of the courts due to abuse or neglect.
